The Sweetest Wheelie in Bloomington
Do you appreciate wheelies. I don't, and I'm not sure why people do, but this got me thinking. How do we decide what is impressive? (Click Here)
Gobbledigook
I don't post about one song, but the new song from the upcoming Sigur Ros album sounds pretty amazing. It also turns out they are jumping on a trend everyone likes...giving music away. The song can be found for free on their website (Click Here). You will also be able to hear it next week on my show Rummage on WIUX 99.1, or wiux.org next Tuesday 4-6.
Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying
What do we mean when we say soldiers deserve a hero’s welcome? Is the military really doing enough to help returning soldiers? Click Here
This is a reposted story from about a year ago. This issue continues to grow as more and more soldiers come home from the war. Already there have been some positives that have come from the discussion of this topic. The military has taken great strides remove the stigmatism attached to mental illness. Hopefully the support for these soldiers will continue and we can avoid any of the stories experienced by the men in this article.

The Helio Sequence
Their last album sounded like you were playing Nintendo at high volumes during a rock concert. The two sounds weren’t necessarily bad, in fact, it created a rich and unique sound. What was missing was the blend, a synchronicity. On their new album The Helio Sequence found this cohesion. The album is called Keep Your Eyes Forward and proves once again that adversity provides great fodder for artistic achievement.

WIUX Radio Show
Update: I will be hosting my own radio show on WIUX 99.1 or worldwide on the web at http://www.wiux.org/ The show will be every Tuesday from 4-5pm. I won't be reviewing CD's for the station anymore, but I will post the list of songs played on the show each week. In the iTunes era this is probably more practical anyways. Besides being on the air I am on the production committee and will be involved with Culture Shock on some level so stay tuned.
